Heart resource and inspiration are found in the joys of weaving on my 1800s barn loom which I restored in 2014. Missing when I inherited it were the bottom of the beater bar, rocking tree pivots and swords, cross beams and treadles, and other bits and pieces. I love the cane reeds, the way the shuttle floats in rhythm over the bottom shed, the dance on the treadles combined with the confirming pulse of the beater.
